When we first started creating our story board we had a different image in mind..after re analysing our location we decided to tweak it so it linked well to the surroundings and what the audience will see in our trailer, rather then the title seeming random. So from a title of Storage we changed it to Sacrifice.
We trialed many fonts and created a poll, and handed it to our target audience to gain there opinion on what they feel reflects the title and storyline of the film, and what they would expect the font style to be like. After a selection process we have chosen our final font for our film.
The results of the poll are as shown. The font below is known as Sacrifice 2 when relating to the pie chart. As such a large percentage was in favour of this font type we were happy to use it.
We are happy with the final font choice. It highlights a nerving, and mysterious mood. It links well with the title and is what i imagine when i think of the genre of film we are creating. The scratching style of the font leaves your mind open and in some sense acts rhetorical. This could of been created by the use of a weapon, or maybe even finger nails. The element of the unexplained is exactly what we are heading for and i feel this font reflects that.
